LCFG Users Day 2009

The annual LCFG Users Day will be split over Friday 20th November in room G.07, and Thursday 10th December in room G.03 in the School of Informatics Forum. All users of LCFG and anyone interested in using LCFG are encouraged to attend. This is your chance to hear what has been happening, ask for help on anything tricky and generally get involved in the LCFG community.

This year the day will be split into two separate parts. In the morning of 10th December we will be running a tutorial on writing LCFG components and using the new build tools. This is aimed at anyone who has, at least, a bit of experience with using LCFG (i.e. basic stuff such as working with LCFG resources). The tutorial will have something to offer for all developers whether you are starting from scratch, looking to refresh your knowledge or wanting to find out how to use the new buildtools. The tutorial will be followed by a lunch.

In the afternoon of 20th November there will be a series of talks and discussions. This will cover a broad range of aspects of LCFG usage on both Linux and MacOSX. There will be reviews of work done in the last year and discussions of what might be happening in the near future.

You can now book for the sessions through MyEd, the titles are LCFG Users Tutorial Morning and LCFG Users Day - Afternoon Talks

We already have some volunteers to present talks but if you have been working on any LCFG-related topics you think others would find interesting then please get in touch with Kenny MacDonald <K.MacDonald@ed.ac.uk> who is organising the afternoon schedule.
