"From Minimal Macs to Full Linux Server"

Geoff Lee, School of Arts, Culture and Environment

The School's MacOS X lab workstations have been managed by RadMind for some time now. However, there were some configuration items which were unwieldy to control. Installing the LCFG client and a subset of components helped to fill the gaps. The experience gained in using LCFG made it possible to build a fully managed Linux server running ColdFusion. The School benefits by having their only Linux server kept up to date without any further effort on their part.
